Eric G. Kahn
Plaintiffs' Personal Injury Law - Springfield, NJ

I realized early on that I am not the kind of lawyer to sit in an office and write briefs and review contracts all day. For me, almost from the start, it has been about being in Court regularly, and preparing and handling cases for my clients.

In that respect I've been very fortunate to be a part of this firm since I graduated from law school, and to learn from some of the best trial lawyers around - Ken Javerbaum, Bob Hicks and Jack Wurgaft. We have a productive and results-oriented culture, which is why our clients come to us.

We've always taken a team approach. As I tell younger lawyers at our firm today, we do not have to sell ourselves individually - it has always been about our firm. We have the legal resources and experience that most plaintiffs' firms just don't have.

There are not too many types of cases that we have not handled and tried in plaintiffs' personal injury law. Automobile accidents, construction accidents, premises accident cases, product liability cases. And we handle medical malpractice claims as well. We also have a successful criminal defense and employment law practice, and all of those areas make us a stronger and more effective firm.

It is true that the tough economy has made insurance companies less eager to settle. We are seeing meritorious cases take longer to resolve. But when a claim is valid, there is nearly always a favorable resolution, even in today's environment. The Court dockets are still full, and I know that skilled attorneys can make a big difference in the outcome of a case.

No matter what happens, when we accept a case, we are completely committed to it, from the first interview to every deposition, every motion, every hearing. Our firm's level of expertise, aggressiveness and experience is reflected in every case we handle. Our clients know that, and our adversaries do as well.
