Donald Caminiti
Plaintiffs' Personal Injury Law - Hackensack, NJ

With his spacious office a few steps from the Bergen County Courthouse, Donald Caminiti is a senior partner at the venerated, nearly 80-year-old firm Breslin & Breslin, one of the first practices in the state devoted to victim's compensation and personal-injury litigation. Widely regarded as hard-working, observant and always well prepared, Caminiti is known for upholding his firm's long tradition of fighting for clients' rights.

Born in Jersey City, Caminiti spent four years in the U.S. Air Force, and thanks in part to the GI Bill, went on to Rutgers, graduating near the top of his class. After law school Caminiti clerked for Superior Court Judge Theodore Trautwein; less than two years later, Caminiti joined Breslin & Breslin, where he has steadily and, in low-key fashion, built his exceptional reputation. In the late 90s Caminiti was named among 6 attorneys to represent the state in the $7.6 billion landmark settlement with the tobacco industry.

Today Caminiti handles scores of cases - and supervises many more - each year, mostly involving general negligence claims for clients who have suffered real and lasting injuries, often in auto accidents. Professional negligence and product liability cases represent about a quarter of his caseload. Caminiti and his family, who lost a child to a long illness, have dedicated themselves to supporting The Tomorrows Children's Fund at Hackensack University Medical Center. He and his family reside in Mendham.
