Skippy Weinstein was admitted in the New Jersey Bar in 1966; subsequent admissions include the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey, the U.S. Supreme Court (1969); District of Columbia and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit (1976); 1980, U.S. District Court, Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, among others. He is a member of (and formerly a trustee of) the Morris County Bar Association, the Essex County Bar, the New Jersey State Bar, the Federal and American Bar Associations and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, New Jersey chapter. (He also serves on that group's board of governors.) He is also a member of the N.J. Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, the National District Attorneys Association, the American Board of Trial Advocates and the American College of Trial Lawyers. Weinstein is a Civil Trial Advocacy Specialist certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, and by the Supreme Court of New Jersey. He has written on a variety of subjects relating to personal injury law, and teaches trial-law courses for the Institute for Continuing Legal Education. In 2002 he received the Trial Bar Award from The Trial Attorneys of New Jersey and was honored by the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Weinstein has been involved in many charitable causes, including the American Cancer Society, the Sammy Davis, Jr., National Liver Foundation, as well as state institutions such as UMD-NJ and Fairleigh Dickinson University, his alma mater.
