Alan W. Clark is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association and the Suffolk County Bar Association. He has been a sustaining member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, as well as the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, since 1978. He serves on the Board of Directors of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, and served as president of its Long Island chapter from 1996 to 2000. He has been a member of the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys since 1990. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court of New York, Southern and Eastern Districts, the U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit, and the New York State Appellate Division Second Judicial Department. He is a Board Certified Medical Negligence attorney and a Diplomate of the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys. Clark has lectured on trial-law issues at seminars for the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, and for the Nassau County Bar Association. He is also chair of the Medical-Legal Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association and a member of the Committee on Lawyer Grievances.
