Plaintiffs' Personal Injury Law - Philadelphia, PA

Anyone who believes there are fewer injustices inflicted on people these days simply has not been reading the papers. It's absolutely out of control. Today, some corporations think that if they can get away with cutting corners, exposing people to dangers, they will try. There's never any shortage of scenarios in which innocent people have been needlessly put at risk - and it is the little guy who pays a huge price.

That's why I'm proud of the role we play. I always wanted to practice the kind of law in which I could try to change people's lives, advocating for clients. It's a powerful and important role we play.

I have taken on some very high profile cases in my career, and I have always had a sense of how a jury would receive our message. In Luzerne County not long ago, I represented a boy who was brain injured in an automobile accident. We laid out the facts carefully - yet in a straightforward, uncomplicated fashion. We kept the message simple. In a recent case, I told the jury, "the boy's family trusts you." Very little more needed to be said. The facts spoke for themselves. The award was for $25 million. It's our job to present those facts in as effective and compelling a way as possible.

We have a unique culture at our firm. For one thing, we think like prosecutors. And we have a motto: "Do the right thing." We don't take every case; we carefully review all of them before we make the commitment to them. It's really about believing totally in a case, and believing in your client. We're always ready to take on even the most technically demanding cases, when we believe in it.'

I've been extremely fortunate to work with some of the greatest legal talent in the city, and some of the best have joined us over the years as well. We have a first-rate team. I think our success is based on one, simple principle: Be straightforward, be honest. I've never known a client who didn't appreciate that.
