Eric S. Spevak
Divorce Law - Haddonfield, NJ

NOTE: Eric Spevak was appointed to the New Jersey bench in 2009. He now serves as a NJ State Court WC Judge presiding in Camden, NJ.

Eric Spevak, one of southern New Jersey’s most community-minded attorneys, has built an expansive practice that is one of the top two firms in New Jersey dedicated to matrimonial law. The Syracuse native, high school valedictorian and All-American soccer player graduated from Hobart College cum laude in Geneva, New York and thereafter graduated from Villanova Law School. “At its heart divorce law is about helping people when they need it most, and that’s what drew me to it.”

A tough negotiator, a good listener with an ability for consensus-building and compromise, Spevak is regarded as a top-flight attorney with exceptional instincts for people. He has received the highest rating from Martindale-Hubbell, was named a SuperLawyer by NJ Monthly Magazine and was named among South Jersey’s top attorneys by South Jersey Magazine. He’s perhaps best known for his role in the 2001 custody case over frozen embryos, which was decided by the New Jersey Supreme Court and gave Spevak national media attention, including appearances on “The Today Show”, CNN and “Hardball with Chris Mathews.”

For years Spevak has raised funds and planned special events for regional veteran’s groups, and participated in fundraising for many area charities. Those gestures “all come back” in the form of a better community and personal satisfaction, Spevak says.

Spevak was named N.J. Citizen of the Year by JWV of the United States and he received the prestigious N.J. Civilian Meritorious Service Medal for his volunteer work. Spevak also has recently recieved proclamtions from the N.J. Senate, the N.J. Governor and the U.S. House of Represenatives commending him for his volunteer efforts. By Congressional Proclamation, June 18, 2005 was officially proclaimed to be Eric Spevak, Esq. Day throughout the First Congressional District of New Jersey.

Eric S. Spevak
"One of the most satisfying things about being part of a successful firm is to be able to give back to the community in a meaningful way. I'm proud of what we do. We are solving problems at a key time in our client's lives, and that's very gratifying. "
