Mark Biel is a member of the Atlantic County, New Jersey State and American Bar associations, and during his career he has served in a myriad of leadership capacities. He has served as president of the Atlantic County Bar Association (1982-83) after serving on its board of trustees for 10 years, and as chair of its Judicial Appointments Committee for three years. Biel served four terms as Atlantic County's representative to the New Jersey State Bar Association's Board of Trustees. He has served for 15 years on the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section of the N.J. State Bar Association, and served as its chair from 1998 to 2000. He is currently a member of the state bar's Nominating Committee, and previously served as vice chair of its Judicial and Prosecutorial Appointments Committee and chair of its Professional Responsibility Committee. Biel is certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Matrimonial Law Attorney, and is a fellow of both the Fellow, American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the Fellow, American Bar Foundation.
