Robert J. Adinolfi
Divorce Law - Mount Laurel, NJ

For nearly four decades Pennsauken native Robert Adinolfi has been one of New Jersey’s leading matrimonial attorneys. For an experienced lawyer who has built one of the largest family practices in the state, Adinolfi - modest, hard-working, known for being well prepared - has led by quiet example. He has served as a steadying and reliable influence in complex divorce cases over many years, peers say. Further, Adinolfi remains at the pinnacle of his career; his firm’s stature has grown with it. Adinolfi, Roberto, Burick & Molotsky, P.A., has an 8-lawyer team dedicated to divorce law; it’s as broad and deep a pool of specialized legal talent as any in the state. The firm recently relocated its primary office to Mount Laurel Township.

Adinolfi’s success in no small part stems from his deep roots to Camden and Burlington counties; he has served on community, school, church, alumni and hospital boards. He continues to lecture before community groups and professional organizations on matters related to family and divorce law. He met his wife Roxanne, a lifelong educator, in grade school. After graduating fourth in his class and pitching for the baseball team for Bishop Eustace Preparatory School in Pennsauken, he went on to St. Joseph’s University, where he graduated cum laude with a B.S. in accounting. He remains a faithful St. Joe’s Hawks fan.|He was drawn to divorce law, he says, because he felt his skills and personality were well suited to it. “It really is about putting financial and business skills to use for people when they most need them, when emotions get the upper hand,” he says.

A graduate of Rutgers Law School, he worked on Market Street in Camden for an attorney who specialized in matrimonial law. A few years later, he opened his own firm in Cherry Hill. In 1990, Adinolfi, his matrimonial law practice well-established and respected, teamed up with Eric Spevak. In 1987, Adinolfi prevailed in the still famous ”Engagement Ring Case,” a fight over who owned a diamond ring after the wedding was called off (the court returned the ring to Adinolfi’s client). By his early 30s, he had already been inducted into the prestigious American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and had several published cases. He is also a matrimonial attorney certified by The Supreme Court of the State of New Jersey. The Adinolfi firm today appears poised for even greater growth. Still, “I am determined to maintain our high level of quality, dedicated service, and excellent reputation. We litigate with passion, knowledge, and experience.” Today, with eight other attorneys in the firm, Adinolfi assumes the mentor’s role while handling his large caseload. “It’s a responsibility I enjoy,” he says.

Away from the office, he indulges in summer weekends at his home in Sea Isle City, plays golf, supports the St. Joe’s basketball team as a season ticket holder, and loves Phillies baseball. His daughter, Christina, also a Rutgers Law School graduate, passed the bar in NJ and PA in 2008. Bob serves on the Parish Finance Board and Roxanne on the Parish School Board of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church.
