Divorce Law - Garden City, NY

I bring a lot of passion to my work - but it's a focused, directed passion. I've noticed over the years that the people best suited for practicing divorce and family law have the strength to deal with the multitude of emotions that are commonplace in our practice. For me, to be focused and compassionate has been central to the way I practice. I bring a certain level of calm to my clients' cases. Anyone can claim to be a matrimonial lawyer, but to practice it the right way requires a lot of energy, stamina and discipline.

You can't be a one-dimensional divorce lawyer and expect to bring any good to your client's situation. I recognize that each case - each individual - is unique, and to effectively represent my clients I must have a multi-dimensional approach to problem solving. The objective should always be working toward a resolution that will last. I take a resolution-oriented approach, which of course is the preferred path, especially if children are involved. But if my client or their children are in danger or if the other side takes an overly aggressive approach, then it's full steam ahead.

I grew up in a community with strong families, many with old-world traditions, and divorce was a topic that wasn't even discussed. In that respect it's notable that I became a divorce lawyer. I was immediately drawn to this area of the law. Now I am not sure I would be suited to do anything else. For one thing, I never contemplated corporate law. What we do for people in matrimonial law is tangible and immediately important.

I have always been a people person. I care about people, and I think my clients recognize that.

More and more of the cases I handle involve high net-worth individuals, business owners and professionals. I think my clients appreciate my approach and the skill that I can bring to their matters. I'm very good at managing and resolving disputes. My ultimate goal is to help my clients get past the trauma they are experiencing and be able to get to a better place in their lives.
