Sam Ferrara is an active member of the Nassau County Bar Association, serving on the Judiciary and Matrimonial Committees. As a member of the American Bar Association, he has served on the ABA's Joint Task Force, with the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, on Parent Education. Ferrara has demonstrated his commitment to educate parents on the effects of divorce on children as a founder, and through service on the advisory board of the New York State organization Parent Education and Custody Effectiveness (PEACE), as well as through his service to the AFCC, serving as co-chair of the Parent Education Committee. Ferrara has lectured and written extensively on matrimonial issues. He serves as an adjunct professor at Hofstra University Law School, his alma mater, and has also instructed at Touro and Brooklyn Law Schools.
