BIOGRAPHY Dynamic, experienced and knowledgable, Florence Fass has emerged as one of the leading matrimonial attorneys in the region. She deserves special credit for this distinction, in no small part because she is one of the few women to break into what had been an all-male domain on Long Island. Fass' rise has been steady and well-deserved: She has been practicing matrimonial law exclusively for over two decades. She began her legal career in the litigation department of one of New York City's top firms, and, after handling the divorce cases of several colleagues, began focusing on matrimonial law in the early 1980s. She was attracted, she says, to the personal and direct way she could help her clients, somewhat unique to divorce law. Fass joined one of the leading matrimonial firms of Nassau County in 1985, and was named partner there in 1992. Fass later launched her own firm, practicing in both Garden City and in Wilmington, Vermont. Fass has a strong background in commercial litigation, a key part of her background that has contributed to her success. She is the senior partner of Fass & Greenberg, LLP where she is a trial attorney, mediator and collaborative lawyer. |
"I believe I serve my clients best when I help them focus on the financial realities of their matter, while handling their emotional concerns with the patience and respect my clients deserve and require. "
Now in her professional prime, Fass focuses on the key areas of matrimonial law: custody (domestic and international), litigation, valuation, taxation, equitable distribution, support and appeals. She prides herself on developing a firm comprised of highly skilled and dedicated attorneys who limit their practice exclusively to matrimonial and family law.
