Affiliations Joel Bender is affiliated with almost all of the major organizations in the field, including the prestigious American College of Family Trial Lawyers, of which he is a founding member. Fewer than 100 attorneys nationwide are part of the College. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1964, the Florida State Bar in 1980 and the Supreme Court of the United States in 1970. He is past president of the New York Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (1999-2001) and a two-term member of the Board of Managers of the New York Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He is a member of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and sits on the Executive Committee and the Equitable Distribution Committee of the New York State Bar Association. |

He is also a member of the American Bar Association, Westchester County Bar Association and Women's Bar Association of Westchester County. He has received the highest rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the directory of attorneys. Bender has chaired numerous seminars of the New York Chapter of the AAML and is a member of the Board of Governors of the National-American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
