Divorce Law - Los Angeles, CA

It's true that I take very contentious and complex cases, but one thing I tell all my clients; I don't manufacture false expectations. All litigation contains extreme elements of risk and no particular outcome is certain. If there's one thing I tell all my clients it's this: For me it's a point of pride to be well prepared for trial, for battle. I know that exceptional preparation really along with talent, is the difference in reaching a successful outcome. If your opponent knows that you are fully prepared and willing to go to trial; your odds of a successful settlement are substantially greater. The threat of litigation most of the time, has a way of making everyone focus and attempt to settle their cases at mediation prior to trial. And as I tell my clients, if we go to trial, I cannot guarantee that we'll win - but I can say that I will put up a good fight, and that if in the end there is blood on the floor, it won't be all ours.

We prepare our cases rigorously with a team of very talented lawyers. It may look like I am doing it alone when we get to trial; but I have a talented team of attorneys behind me.

The cases I handle today are time-intensive, and we are selective. They often are very contentious child custody and complex financial matters that have been referred to us by other attorneys. My father and his history has certainly been a great influence on me. However, I take a lot of pride in having charted my own course, in starting my own business when I was a college student to earn my own income, and then, as a lawyer, in building my own practice and earning my own reputation. As a trial lawyer, I have learned to have a deep respect for the process and for the courtroom.

My experience - all the way from representing top professional football players when I was a football agent 45 years ago as a 20-year-old kid, to, as an attorney, winning highly charged, high stakes cases for my clients today - is my own unique experience. I give my all for my clients; and to that extent, I am proud of those efforts.
